The President of the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (BIDC), Dr. George Agyekum Donkor was doubly rewarded at the Ghana CEO Vision and Awards, 2025 edition. It was last July 25 in Accra. He has won two awards that recognize his exceptional leadership

The President of the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank was crowned “CEO of the year 2025 for Africa” as well as “CEO of CEOs” by the prestigious Ghana CEO Vision and Awards. This recognition is the continuation of a series of awards. Indeed, already in 2023, Dr. Donkor was honored by the same organization, receiving his award from the hands of His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

In fact, under the leadership of Dr. Donkor, the BIDC has taken major steps, consolidating its position as a regional leader. Notable achievements include the improvement of its credit rating by Moody's and Fitch, its accreditation by the Green Climate Fund, and the issuance, for the first time, of a green, social and sustainable bond at the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM). These strategic advances have earned the institution several prestigious awards, including, most recently, the “Financial Institution of the Year 2024" award at the Africa Sustainability Awards

noted that the 2025 edition of the Ghana CEO Vision and Awards recognizes Dr. Donkor's outstanding and sustained contributions to the development of the continent, driven by strategic leadership focused on impact and concrete results.

The prestigious ceremony marking the fourth edition of the Ghana CEO Vision and Awards brought together a number of high-ranking personalities, including the Honourable Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed, Minister of the Interior, and the Honourable Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, among others. The ceremony was also honored by the presence of His Royal Majesty, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II,
