Based in Accra, Affinity Africa is experiencing remarkable traction: over 100,000 accounts opened in record time, monthly deposit growth of 30%, with 65% of customers previously unbanked, with 65% of customers previously unbanked, and 60% of accounts opened by women.
The acquisition of Attijariwafa Ventures is part of an 8 million dollar fund raising, alongside leading international investors, such as the British Backed VC fund and the German fund Grazia Equity.
Founded by the Ghanaian entrepreneur Tarek Mouganie, former Director of the British investment group Man Group and a graduate of a doctorate from Cambridge University, Affinity Africa aims to transform access to financial services in Africa.
