On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the President of the High Authority for Good Governance (HABG) in the Central African Republic led a mission to imbue the Ivorian experience in governance and the fight against corruption. He was received by his Ivorian counterpart Epiphane Zoro Bi Ballo

The visit is part of the operationalization of the asset declaration mechanism, scheduled to start in December 2025 in the Central African Republic. It also allowed the discovery of good practices in the prevention and fight against corruption, which are essential for the implementation of the reforms under way in Bangui

This meeting is part of the Central African government's economic and financial reform program, with the support of technical and financial partners. The program also includes field visits to major institutions involved in the in lutte contre la corruption Côte d'Ivoire, in particular the Economic and Financial Criminal Division, the “Agency for the Management and Recovery of Criminal Assets (AGRAC) and the Agency for the Regulation of Public Procurement (ARCOP). These meetings will make it possible to concretely illustrate business mechanisms and operational challenges.

According to Zoro Bi Ballo, this initiative is part of a dynamic of sharing experiences and consolidating cooperative ties between the two countries. According to him, “the fight against corruption and similar offenses cannot succeed without strong political will and the constant commitment of institutions. We are happy to share our experience with our brothers in the Central African Republic and to also learn from their approach.”
