The Burkinabe police apprehended an alleged embezzler. More than 170 million CFA francs were embezzled in Kaya, capital of the Kuilse region, formerly called the North Central Region.

The Kaya Regional Judicial Police Service (SRPJ) launched an investigation which revealed that the General Coordinator of an association in the city of Kaya turned out to be the alleged author of the hijacking. It appears from the investigations carried out that funds were made available to this association by partners, including international organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and many other structures, to carry out specific activities.

Investigators, at the time of his arrest, seized two (02) vehicles and six (06) motorcycles.
