About thirty media professionals from the Plateaux and Maritime Regions have been in capacity building training since September 2, 2021 in Kpalimé, on the fight against corruption and money laundering. The seminar is an initiative of the Association "Togolese Media against Corruption and Laundering" (MéToCoB), in collaboration with the Togolese Revenue Office (OTR).

The training seminar was organized for media professionals from the Plateaux and Maritime Regions on corruption and money laundering. The objective is to familiarize them with a better knowledge and manifestations of these scourges, their many facets, as well as the techniques and methods to combat them in their monitoring and avant-garde missions in the communities. Thus, the participants will follow several communications on tax regulations in Togo, the techniques of investigative journalism, the strengthening of tax citizenship among taxpayers, etc. These themes are developed by experts from the OTR and the media world. The exchanges will allow seminarians to better control the mechanisms and manifestations of corruption, money laundering and other similar offences, their different facets, as well as the ways and means to combat them, to the delight of the communities.
