Fitch Ratings has recognized the financial strength and profile of the African Development Bank (ADB). In its latest analysis, the global financial rating agency confirmed the ADB's AAA long-term credit rating, with a stable outlook.

This is noted in the analysis by the financial rating agency Fitch Ratings, which also praised the importance of the Bank's public development mission and the excellent quality of its risk management.

According to AfDB's Acting Vice President of Finance and CFO, Hassatou N'Sele, this excellent credit rating allows the African Development Bank to provide financial resources to African countries at favorable levels to develop their economies. “This is extremely important in the current context of rising interest rates and concerns about debt sustainability,” she said.
