The Shanghai lockdown continues to be extended, raising fears for Chinese demand for black gold. However, oil prices were falling again on Friday, struggling to recover sustainably.

To 09:25 GMT (11:25 CET), the barrel of Brent from the North Sea for delivery in June lost 1.57% to 106.63 dollars. The barrel of US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for delivery in the same month fell 1.72% to $ 101.66. A rise in US rates aims to slow inflation but weighs on economic activity and therefore the consumption of black gold.
