the intention of promoting the sustainable development of Côte d'Ivoire, the Islamic Society for Investment Insurance and Export Credits (SIACE) has partnered with the African Development Bank to sign a strategic risk-sharing commitment

ICIEC provided €194 million in insurance, covering the €400 million partial credit guarantee (PCG) issued by the African Development Bank against the risk of non-payment associated with a €533 million facility granted by Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), to the Government of Côte d'Ivoire. This facility will be used to finance a range of eligible environmental and social projects, including renewable energy, education, pollution prevention and control, the conservation of terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity, health infrastructure, as well as the sustainable use of water and the management of wastewater, in line with Côte d'Ivoire's sustainable development policy.

Le partenariat de la Banque africaine de développement with ICIEC is essential for strengthen the Bank's partial credit guarantee system in order to allow for the necessary financing of Standard Chartered Bank. The Bank will maintain a €206 million (51.5%) stake in the €400 million PCG, while ICIEC will cover the remaining €194 million.
