For the second quarter of 2023, the outstanding deposits collected by microfinance institutions increased by 44.2 billion FCFA, an increase of more than 2.1% compared to the previous quarter.

The outstanding deposits collected amounted to 2,182.8 billion FCFA. Indeed, according to the status of the microfinance sector in UEMOA member countries, for the second quarter of 2023 of the Central Bank of West African States, it was estimated at 1,940.6 billion FCFA a year earlier, an increase of 12.5% year-on-year. At the end of June 2023, the number of SFDs in the UMOA stood at 524 after 530

in the previous quarter.
