4 students from UCLouvain are in Benin, specifically in Athiémé, in collaboration with two Beninese students as part of the IngenieuxSud course and supported by the “Étudiant Solidaire” project to manufacture an ecological oven at the center ASPEL, in Athiémé

Lydie, Mélinda, Tom and Camille are students from UCLouvain (2 bioengineers and 2 civil engineers), Samirath and Arifa the Beninese students. The “Solidarity Student” project is one of the two projects selected for the 2022/23 academic year and, in part, financed by the Solidarity Fund. According to Mélinda Afram, one of the students, “this center offers training for children, students and market gardeners in the agricultural field, including pastry courses. The problem was that he did not have an oven and therefore the students had to go to a bakery located 4 hours away.” Thus, the students studied the issue as part of the IngenieusSud course.
