Dans le but d' atténuer l' insécurité alimentaire en Afrique d' ici cinq ans, la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) s' est engagée à reach an ambitious target of 25 billion dollars.

The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina said that the objective the financial institution wants to achieve is on track. According to him, the ADB already supports programs in more than 30 African countries. It thus contributes to the production of nearly 12 billion dollars worth of food. The President of the African Development Bank indicated that, for his part, the continent will no longer talk about “food insecurity in Africa in more than five years”. Thus, the Bank is positioning itself as a leader in the fight against food insecurity in Africa, and is committed to investing massively to eradicate this scourge within five years
