As part of a coordinated international operation against an organized cybercrime network called Black Axe, Interpol announced the arrest of 75 persons.

The arrest of the 75 criminals required the involvement of security forces in 14 countries, such as Argentina, Australia, Côte d'Ivoire, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Niger ; Ria, Spain, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States on four continents and also targeted organized criminal groups in West Africa. In fact, the arrested criminal group is responsible for the majority of financial fraud worldwide, as well as numerous other serious crimes. Interpol carried out its first operation by targeting the cybercriminal group Black Axe. At the end of September, the Interpol team announced the arrest of two alleged members of the criminal organization suspected of being responsible for online scams that resulted in the theft of 1.8 million dollars from victims.
