On Monday, October 3, 2022, Ghana's cocoa regulatory body, Cocobod, signed a $1.13 billion syndicated loan to finance purchases for the next pr& campaign Eacute; seen to start during October. This loan was granted by international banks such as: the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), the Rabobank Cooperative, DZ Bank, Natixis, Standard Chartered, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), MUFG Bank, and the International Bank of Ghana. Still, the loan is less than the $1.5 billion guaranteed loan raised last year.
