The Kenyan start-up mTek is raising 3 million USD to expand on the local market. These resources will allow the company to ensure its development on the local market but also to expand its customer portfolio.

The Kenyan insurtech and digital insurance start-up has raised a 3 million USD funding from Finclusion Group, a fintech platform focused on Africa. The two entities hope to conduct a cooperation that will have the mission of increasing the penetration of digital insurance in Kenya and other African countries in the near future.

The investment will create fully digital, market-ready insurance offerings that are both easily accessible and affordable for the uninsured. Launched in 2020, mTek has seen a lot of evolution over the past two years. The insurtech has partnered with more than 35 Kenyan underwriters to offer its customers quality insurance services.
