Beini and Nigeria signed a bilateral agreement last Thursday for the creation, operationalization and management of the juxtaposed control post of Sèmè-Kraké. Funded by the European Union, the post cost €18 million.

As the favor of a ministerial meeting between beninese Romuald Wadagni, Minister of Economy and Finance and Nigerian Gbémisola Ruqayyah Saraki, Senator and Minister of State for Transport of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a new agreement has been signed for the free movement of persons, goods and services.

This agreement is a decisive act in favour of the free movement of people, goods and services on the Cotonou-Lagos corridor in particular. The position is subdivided into zones for commercial vehicle and passenger transportation, cargo handling and cargo, transit and livestock inspection operations.
