Enterprise Singapore Deputy Director General for Global Markets Tan Soon Kim said at the end of the seventh edition of the Africa Singapore Business Forum (ASBF) that “the digital economy is driving Africa's growth and is expected to reach 712 billion US dollars in 2050, or 8.5 percent of the continent's GDP, compared to 4.5 percent of the continent's GDP in 2020.” According to the latter, “Singaporean companies are providing digital solutions, particularly in the areas of agrotechnology, logistics, retail, fintech, digital commerce and smart urban infrastructure, and are ready to contribute to achieving $712 billion in digital growth.” With the aim of facilitating partnerships between African and Singaporean businesses, the Agency has established three overseas centers in Africa such as Johannesburg in South Africa; Accra in Ghana; and Nairobi
in Kenya.
