The fifth African Resilience Forum organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) will be held from 3 to 5 October 2023 in Abidjan.

“Financing peace, security and development for a resilient Africa” is the theme planned for the meeting, which will focus on innovative solutions to bridge the financing gaps in African countries plagued by conflict and growing insecurity. The activities will promote exchanges on mining to mobilize large-scale resources at the intersection of peace, development and security, by directing them to the public and private sectors, and in effective partnerships establishing for this purpose. According to the ADB, “this forum is being held at a critical moment, it is imperative to have new approaches to finance peace, security and development.”
