La 4 ème édition du Salon sur le gaz de pétrole liquéfié “West Africa LPG Expo” was held last Thursday, September 7 in Abidjan-Cocody.

Cette rencontre s' est inscrit dans un contexte où la Côte d' Ivoire pense multiplier, au moins par dix sa capacité de current storage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for domestic use, before 2025.

Achieving Côte d'Ivoire's objectives is subject to the structural projects already underway in the country. These include the construction of the “SOCOPAO” dock, the advent of storage spheres with a total capacity of 16,000 MT, and the Abidjan-Yamoussoukro pipeline. For the Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly, “Today, LPG for domestic use is available in the most remote areas of our country. This is the result of the bold promotion policy led by the Ministry in charge of hydrocarbons, under the supervision of the Prime Minister and in accordance with the vision of the President of the Republic, Alassane

Ouattara”.

To meet all the challenges, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly is resolutely committed to fighting various forms of fraud such as those linked to the illicit and misuse of the LPG, “a scourge that my department is resolutely committed to committed to fighting” according to him.
