From Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 September 2023, the 3rd edition of the International Conference of the Africa Network of National Transfer Accounts (Nta-Afrique) took place in Somone, in the department of Mbour. This meeting served as a platform for actors to discuss the issue of capturing the demographic dividend in Africa, particularly in the ECOWAS region

The 3rd edition of the Africa National Transfer Account Network (Nta-Africa) International Conference, which took place over three days, was based on the theme “Demographic Dividend, Generational Economy” and sustainable development in Africa: taking stock 5 years after the AU roadmap on the demographic dividend”. Researchers from around the world debated with policy makers on challenges related in particular to capturing the demographic dividend in Africa.

According to the Creg Coordinator, Latif Dramani, with the multiple crises that are shaking the African continent, this third conference aims to integrate population dynamics on the demographic dividend, an essential element in achieving the AU's 2023 agenda.
