On Friday, July 11, 2025, the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Guinea organized a forum in Conakry dedicated to the official launch of its 2025 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Financing Program. This major event is part of the strategic partnership with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA

).

The forum devoted to the official launch of its 2025 Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Financing Program aims to present to Guinean companies the financing, support and development solutions available to them to promote their growth on the national and continental market. Several leading personalities came together for the occasion. These are members of the government, representatives of public institutions, as well as business leaders from various sectors.

According to the CEO of UBA Guinea, Antoine Chérif, this forum marks a decisive step in UBA's commitment to provide innovative financial products and services adapted to the realities of local entrepreneurs. It is also part of a wider dynamic, driven by initiatives such as the Simandou Vision 2040 project and the national program to promote local content, which aim to strengthen the economic foothold of national actors in major value chains

For her part, Mariama Savané, commercial director of UBA Guinea, focused on the sectors of activity targeted by this financing program. These include Agro-Industry, Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Health, Pharmaceutical and Health, Transport and Logistics, Transport and Logistics, Trade and Distribution, Construction & Construction, Liberal Professions and the Mining Value Chain — Simandou 2040. She indicated that “this program is not only a financing system, it is a global support including digital, fiscal, monetary, and even close monitoring to allow companies to make sustainable progress on the market”.
