The pan-African group Coris Coris Holding has officially launched Coris Méso Finance Benin (CMF-Benin), an institution dedicated to the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises. The opening ceremony took place on June 18, 2025, in Cotonou

CMF-Benin was launched to fill a structural void. That of financing entrepreneurs who are too big for traditional microfinance mechanisms, but too small for the requirements of the traditional banking sector. This institution is approved as a Decentralized Finance System (SFD) by ministerial decree dated July 15, 2024. Its mission is to facilitate access to finance, encourage innovation and stimulate the growth of businesses, real pillars of the économie Beninese economy. CMF-Bénin aims to become a leader in financing the informal and formal sector, facilitating access to capital for underbanked businesses. According to Ablassé ILBOUDO, Deputy CEO of the Coris Group, in charge of Strategy and Development, “Coris Méso Finance is the major element that was missing in the financial landscape of Benin”. With an initial capital of 1 billion CFA francs, the institution is positioned as a catalyst for economic development through an approach centered on proximity, innovation, responsibility and excellence.
