.According to the IMF, the year 2024 was marked by a recovery in growth to 5%, driven by good agricultural performance and a recovery in services, the country remains facing endemic insecurity that weighs heavily on its mining sector, a pillar of its exports. Kenji Okamura, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF said that “despite the shocks, the Burkinabe economy is showing remarkable resilience. The authorities remain committed to a deficit reduction trajectory while maintaining priority social spending.”
