Information dated 17 February indicates that the Special Economic Zone and an Angolan company signed a memorandum of understanding worth nearly 50 million US dollars in Kinshasa. The objective of this agreement is to set up a factory to manufacture alcoholic beverages and juices.

The installation of Refriango in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), precisely within the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), pilot of Maluku, is one of the results of the last DRC-Angola economic forum, held in 2023 in Kinshasa. In fact, the financial director Elie Tohwe said that he had concluded a memorandum of understanding with the officials of the Special Economic Zone of nearly 50 million US dollars to install the factory of the Refriango company, of Angolan origin, to manufacture alcoholic drinks and quality juices accessible to the entire population. According to him, the presence of his company Refriango in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a way of contributing significantly to the development of this area but also to the well-being of the Congolese people
