At the end of last December, the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) shed light on the list of companies operating in the CEMAC zone that received the status of “high standing and national importance”.

16 companies were part of the initial list submitted for COBAC validation by the Professional Association of Credit Institutions Gabon (APEC). But 14 were retained. The status of “high standing and national importance”, which is granted for a period of one year, gives businesses that obtain it facilities when applying for bank loans. For businesses, this status will make it easier for them to obtain bank loans to finance their development.
