A new index has been launched by the Saudi stock exchange Tadawul. This index tracks the top 50 companies ranked according to their market value on the largest stock exchange in the Arab world.

The Tadawul Stock Exchange announced in a statement on its website that the TASI 50 index includes companies that cover 90 percent of Tadawul's floating market capitalization with a minimum annual traded value ratio of 5 percent. According to the source, the index offers a benchmark for investment products, allowing investors to track and compare performance based on specific criteria. According to Tadawul, “thanks to this index, local and foreign investors can access a diverse range of investment opportunities in our dynamic and growing capital market.”

For the Saudi stock market, the launch of the TASI 50 Index is an important step towards achieving the financial sector development program of the Saudi Vision 2030.
