Le vendredi March 24, 2023, when work was launched as part of the project to bring referral hospitals in Ivory Coast up to standard, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Adama Coulibaly welcomed the partnership between the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (ECOWAS) and Côte d'Ivoire. He estimated the financial support of this international institution to support projects at nearly 300 billion CFA francs.

The BIDC supported projects in various fields such as health, infrastructure, industry, and agriculture. Indeed, the launch of works to rehabilitate and equip the regional hospitals (CHR) in Abengourou, Dimbokro and Séguéla, the general hospitals in Bangolo, Bouna, Daoukro, Tanda and Toumodi, and the urban health centers (CSU) in Akouédo and Rubino was launched last Friday. According to Coulibaly, “the support of this bank, in Côte d'Ivoire's progress on the path of development, deserves to be noted and appreciated.” According to him, the support of the BIDC in the health sector in Côte d'Ivoire amounts to 48 billion CFA francs for two projects and is part of the President of the Republic's desire to improve the well-being of his fellow citizens.
