A l At the end of the trading session on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, the sluggish majority of market activities at the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) persisted.

The value of transactions appeared to be falling, with a transaction value of 603.828 million FCFA compared to 971.880 million FCFA the day before. The market capitalization of the bond market fell by 4.802 billion, to 10,105.373 billion FCFA compared with 10,110.175 billion FCFA. While the stock market capitalization fell by 1.437 billion, from 7579.364 billion FCFA the day before to 7577,927 billion FCFA on March 22, 2023.

When it comes to clues, the situation is mixed. The BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market) remained static at 102.56 points, while the composite index (the general stock market index) fell slightly by 0.02% to 203.69 points compared with 203.73 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM Prestige index (which includes all the stocks listed in the Prestige compartment) improved with an increase of 0.53% to 106.67 points compared with 106.11 points previously; the situation was different for the other indices.


The top 5 largest price declines were occupied by Sucrivoire Côte d'Ivoire (minus 5.80% to 650 FCFA), BOA Benin (minus 4.54% to 6,200 FCFA), NEI CEDA Ivory Coast (minus 3.94% to 610 FCFA), BOA Mali (minus 3.19% at 1,215 FCFA) and BOA Senegal (minus 2.44% at 2,195 FCFA). And the top 5 largest price increases were respectively occupied by Total Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.16% to 2,240 FCFA), Sicable Côte d'Ivoire (plus 5.34% to 1,085 FCFA), SETAO Ivory Coast (plus 2.18% to 1,170 FCFA), Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire (plus 1.08% to 14,000 FCFA) and Sonatel Senegal (plus 0.70% to 15,900 FCFA) and Sonatel Senegal (plus 0.70% to 15,900 FCFA)).
