During a ceremony, the Vice President of Côte d'Ivoire, Meyliet Koné launched the institutional monitoring and evaluation mechanism for PND 2021-2025 on Monday, January 23, 2023.

44.000 billion CFA francs in investments are expected from the private sector. In total 74% of the overall portfolio of the National Development Programme (PND, 2021—2025) estimated at 59 trillion FCFA. Indeed, according to Meyliet Koné, this mechanism aims to “translate into actions” the institutional framework for monitoring the implementation of the PND 2021—2025, and to provide the country with “an integrated, inclusive and effective monitoring mechanism to ensure the achievement of” development objectives. The main objective is to elevate Côte d'Ivoire to the rank of upper middle-income country by 2030.

According to the vice-president, “the growth scenario selected targets an average annual rate of 7.65% corresponding to a level of investment of around 59 000 billion FCFA over the period, 74% of which is expected from the private sector.”
