The first edition of Planning and Cooperation ended on Thursday, June 26, 2025 in Conakry. It highlights the multisectoral efforts undertaken around the Simandou 2040 Programme

From June 25 to 26, the work brought together representatives from 18 invited countries, national and international experts, technical partners and financial institutions, as well as senior government officials. The discussions revolved around the modernization of the Guinean statistical system, sustainable development planning, and the rebasing of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in other words the updating of reliable economic data of Guinea. The last day was marked by a technical session on rebasing GDP, an essential exercise to accurately reflect current economic realities and strengthen the country's strategic planning.
