BBS First Security (Burkina Faso), Banibah, Gas and Oil, GEBAT, SIAG (Ivory Coast), Gamma Informatique (Niger), Itech Solutions, la Laiterie du berger, MINEEX and NUHMERIT (Senegal) are the 10 companies to join , this Monday, June 24, 2019 the ELITE BRVM LOUNGE Program.
A program which aims to strengthen the capacities of SMEs with high growth potential in order to facilitate their access to long-term financing via the Third Compartment of the BRVM.
After the launch of the first cohort in March 2018 and the second in December, this third wave of companies brings to 30 the number of SMEs, within WAEMU, to benefit from this support.
" These companies will be able to access long-term resources, strengthen their notoriety, increase their visibility, have a permanent valuation and change dimension ", rejoiced Dr Edoh Kossi Amenounve, Managing Director of the BRVM.
Before inviting UEMOA SMEs to get closer to the BRVM, through its National Stock Exchange Branches, to immerse themselves in this ELITE Program. Because, he says, " the ambition of the BRVM, by 2020, is to bring to more than 50 the number of companies in the Union to benefit from the ELITE BRVM Lounge excellence program with the aim of supplying gradually our Third Compartment.
The ELITE BRVM Lounge program is a variation of the ELITE program initiated by the London Stock Exchange and executed in partnership with the Casablanca Stock Exchange. Implemented for 3 years in Morocco, 82 companies in the kingdom have already been selected to take another step, not the least, in their growth.
" Today, Elite Morocco is no longer a simple program of the Casablanca stock exchange, it has become a major axis in the development strategy of our market and an essential tool in the upgrading of companies, necessary for the development of our economy " said Selbar Lebbar, Representative of the General Manager of the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
These 30 WAEMU companies come from various sectors of activity, in particular the agri-food and mining industry, finance, insurance, construction, distribution, hotels, printing, information and communication, telecommunications, and security.
The African Development Bank, BOA Capital, Pwc Côte d'Ivoire, Mazars Côte d'Ivoire, Deloitte Côte d'Ivoire, Grant Thornton Senegal, Attijariwarfa bank and Enko Capital provide technical and financial support for the implementation of this program.
