The Paris Stock Exchange is almost stable, at 5940 points (-0.07%). This is despite the latest PMIs in Europe, which indicate a return to growth in private sector activity in the region.

The composite "flash" PMI is positioned above the 50-point threshold. It recovered to 52.5 this month from 48.8 in February, returning to the expansion zone.

According to the outlook of danske Bank teams, " the numbers in Europe should continue to highlight a two-speed economy, where the manufacturing sector stands out and services slow, while PMIs in the United States are likely to remain high ."

The composite PMI of overall activity in the United States - calculated by IHS Markit - rose from 59.5 in February to 59.1 in a flash estimate for the current month, nevertheless signaling the second strongest growth in the private sector in six years.
The Dow Jones is up 0.8%, followed by the S&P 500 at +0.2%, while the Nasdaq is down 0.5%.
