During an exchange meeting between the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Wamkele Mene and the President of Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, it emerged that experts are considering the establishment of a compensation fund to support trade. The exchanges between Wamkele Mene and President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré focused on various topics such as industrialization in Africa and particularly in Burkina Faso. The host of Kosyam also spoke about the compensation fund that is being set up, including cases of revenue losses that could occur as a result of the agreements of the ZLCAf.

"We also discussed the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement and the benefits they could derive from it," said Wamkele Mene. The Secretary General clarified that this agreement should take into account all companies and not only large companies. At the end of their meeting, President Kaboré gave guidance and also made comments in order to allow adjustments in the process of setting up the secretariat of the structure.
