Senegalese Minister of Trade and Small and Medium Enterprises Aminata Assome Diatta announced Saturday in Dakar that a major program will soon be launched to upgrade the country's businesses under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The Senegalese government is preparing to take better advantage of the AfCFTA. " My department plans to roll out a major business upgrade program. This program will require several skills and a lot of investment in terms of support infrastructure and equipment ," said Aminata Assome Diatta.

The Minister made the announcement while chairing the opening of the 21st Session of the General Assembly of the Mouvement des entreprises du Sénégal (MDES). According to her, private investment is at the heart of economic growth and job creation.
