CRRH-UEMOA is the best-rated institution in WAEMU after BOAD and ADB, according to Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's"), the international rating agency.

The first CRRH-UEMOA rating in 2020 came out with the following ratings: Long-term issuer rating: Ba2; Long-term issuer rating in local currency: Ba2; Long-term currency issuer rating: Ba3. These achievements are the result of a significant improvement in the regional operational environment of CRRH-UEMOA, in particular an improvement in the ratings of the States of the UEMOA, and/or a significant increase in the capitalization and profitability of the institution, could contribute to raising the ratings awarded in 2020.
According to Moody's, the CRRH-UEMOA ratings by the high quality of its assets, reinforced by a prudent organization of the refinancing activity, its solid levels of capitalization with a TCE (tangible equity) ratio on tangible assets managed (excluding subordinated debt ) by 7.6% in December 2019, compared to 7.0% in December 2018. This ratio improved and stood at 25.4% taking into account subordinated debt. The liquidity profile is solid with a liquidity ratio of 132% at the end of 2019. Finally, CRRH-UEMOA has a good match between the maturities of assets and those of liabilities.
These ratings still place CRRH-UEMOA in the so-called “Non-investment grade” category or speculative investments, 02 steps from the first “Investment Grade” rating, which is Baa3.
