The Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) has just published a Monthly Economic Outlook. The document indicates that the Eu lending rate has increased slightly.

The survey of bank conditions reveals small increases in lending rates. Excluding charges and taxes, the average rate calculated at EU level was stable at 6.26% in January 2021. By country, a decrease in the cost of credit is noted in Burkina Faso (6.18% against 7.05%) and Togo (7.40% against 7.54%).
On the other hand, the same source indicates increases in other countries, particularly in Côte d'Ivoire (5.75% against 5.69%), Senegal (6.26% against 6.03%), Mali (7.50% against 7.28%) and Niger (8.42% against 7.72%) which offset the trend.
