The Conference of Bars and Law Societies of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) is holding a meeting in Lomé whose objective is to further harmonize the rules of ethics and the rules of procedure governing bars, in order to have common legislation within space.

The meeting of the bars of the WAEMU area is a unique framework to reflect further on the modalities of integrating these bars into the agenda of the meeting, the rereading and examination of the rules of procedure of the Conference. On the menu, ethical rules, common projects to preserve the interests acquired in the context of a better integration of the bars and the renewal of the executive board of the Conference elected in Ouagadougou in 2018, whose mandate has come to an end. Created in 2015, the WaeMU Bar Conference is the unique framework for reunions and exchanges between bars, an institution of the WAEMU Commission.
