Find all the economic and financial information on our Orishas Direct application to download on Play StoreThe Regional Consular Chamber of UEMOA (CCR-UEMOA) held the 27th session of its Ordinary General Assembly from 9 to 11 December 2025 in Dakar. The meeting brought together the elected members of the institution, the Senegalese authorities, representatives of the UEMOA Commission, the diplomatic corps, as well as actors of the private sector and the CCR-UEMOA technical team.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Ibrahima Thiam, Minister and Secretary of State for the Development of SMEs and SMEs from Senegal. In his speech, he emphasized, emphatically, the role central role of the community private sector in economic integration subregional and in the promotion of sustainable development within the UEMOA space.
The event was also marked by the interventions by Khady Evelyne D. Ndiaye, director of the private sector, of Serigne Mboup, president of the National Union of Chambers of Commerce, of industry and agriculture of Senegal, as well as Atepa Goudiaby, president of the Senegal Investors Club.
Taking the floor, Héléna Nosolini Embalo, President of the CCR-UEMOA, highlighted the collective ambition of the institution. She also expressed her gratitude to the authorities Senegalese for their welcome and their constant support. She also has recalled the main priorities of the 2024-2027 term of office, in particular the strengthening the competitiveness of the private sector and stimulating intra-community exchanges.
The work was opened with a lesson. Inaugural speech delivered by the Minister Secretary of State, on behalf of the Prime Minister Minister Ousmane Sonko. Placed under the theme “Senegal by 2030: What is the role of the community private sector? ”, this intervention brought strategic insight into the challenges and opportunities of the private sector, also both nationally and regionally.
The session provided an opportunity to take stock of the implementation of the resolutions adopted in December 2024. An attention particular attention was paid to governance, budget management and Status of contributions from national consular chambers. The reports of 2025 activities and financial statements have been examined, confirming the solidity and the transparency of the management of the institution.
The reports of the Audit Committee and of compliance and the Monitoring and Steering Committee of the 2024-2027 Action Plan have were also adopted. These advances reflect a strengthening of mechanisms. internal control and the monitoring of strategic actions. Plan projects of actions and the 2026 budget have also been validated.
At the end of the work, new priorities have been set, with particular emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship and economic sustainability within UEMOA. The president of the CCR-UEMOA thanked all the participants and reaffirmed its commitment to pursue the mission of the institution in a spirit of cooperation and solidarity.
On the sidelines of the General Assembly, the President and members of the Bureau were received by the Prime Minister of Senegal. This hearing provided an opportunity to discuss the concerns of the sector. private community and to gather strategic directions for strengthen its involvement in the regional integration process.
