On the occasion, the Directors examined and approved nine (09) financing proposals for a total amount of CFAF 102.549 billion.
After approving the minutes of the 123rd meeting, held on 26 May 2021, and the Bank's debt recovery statement as at 31 May 2021, the Board took note of the mid-term achievements of the Fiscal year 2021, the information note on the conclusions of the annual review of BOAD's financial rating by international rating agencies and the Bank's 2021-2025 development results and impact measurement framework. The new approvals bring BOAD's total commitments (all operations combined) since the start of its operational activities in 1976 to CFAF 6,532.7 billion.
The approved loans concern the partial financing of the following projects: Integrated Development of Wassoulou in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire (PDIW-CI) Phase 1 ; Development of Agricultural Land of the Oti Plain (PATA-OTI): Zone 4 (Sadori, Fare and Koukombou) and Zone 5 (Nali and Koulifiekou) in the Togolese Republic; Asphalting of the Biéby – Bettié section of the Yakassé Attobrou – Bettié section, in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire ; Support to the Inclusive Finance Development Fund in the Republic of Niger ; Reinforcement of the northern corridor of Côte d'Ivoire: construction of the second 225 kV Taabo-Kossou-Bouaké interconnection line and extension of the Taabo, Kossou and Bouaké 2 substations in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire ; Reinforcement of the electricity network of the Société Energie du Mali (EDM-SA) in the Republic of Mali ; Extension from 30 to 50 MWC of the power of the photovoltaic solar power plant in Blitta in the Togolese Republic; Construction and operation of a Mall and a 5-star luxury business hotel by Burkina Construction Company (BCC) SAS in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso ; Short-term credit to the National Bank for Economic Development (BNDE) for the partial refinancing of the 2020-2021 groundnut campaign in Senegal.
