The 22nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) will be held this Thursday, March 25, 2021 by videoconference because of the global health crisis.

The presidents of the WAEMU zone meet to discuss the  new coronavirus. The work will be chaired by the Ivorian Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, current President of the WAEMU Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
The theme of the meeting is : "the situation within the Community space at the time of vaccination campaigns".

Alin addition, the leaders of the eight member countries, the members of the Council of Ministers and the heads of the WAEMU institutions will discuss "the state of the Union in 2020 including the economic, monetary and financial situation as well as the state of implementation of high-level projects".
