Guinea Bissau rose on Monday, February 23, 2026 the financial market of UEMOA the sum of 20 billion FCFA. Fundraising was held at the end of its issuance of a simultaneous auction of vouchers assimilable from the 182-day and 364-day treasury and similar obligations from 3-year treasure organized in partnership with UMOA-Titres, in order to deal with its budgetary needs.

The issuer had tendered an amount of 20 billion FCFA. The total amount of investor bids was raised to 90.653 billion FCFA., i.e. at a rate of coverage of the amount put in auction of 453.27%.

The amount of bids 20 billion FCFA was withheld and the one rejected 70,653 billion FCFA, or one absorption rate of 22.06%.

Investors whose bids have been selected will end up with a weighted average return of 6.45% for 182-day vouchers, 7.30% for those of 364 days and 9.61% for bonds.

The issuer has committed to reimburse the vouchers issued on the first business day following the due date of August 24, 2026 for the 182-day BAT and to February 22, 2027 for those of 364 days. Interest will be paid in advance and deducted from the nominal value of these vouchers.

The issuer also intends to repay the principal amount of the bonds on the first day. working according to the due date set on February 24, 2029. It will proceed to interest payment per year at the rate of 6.25% from the end of the first year.
