The "Huawei ICT Academy" (huawei Academy for Information and Communication Technologies) was officially launched on Monday in Cotonou. The program is intended to open a door for Beninese students to the world of high technology.

The "Huawei ICT Academy" will cover five public and private universities in Benin will not only prepare Beninese students for the job market, but also provide the country with ICT talent and make it more competitive in this field in Africa. It has several modules, including huawei's teacher training and certification, the provision of certification courses to students, and free access to the certification exam. Huawei Benin CEO Wang Jun said the program meets Benin's president Patrice Talon's ambitions to position the country as West Africa's digital platform and make ICT the main lever for its socio-economic development.
