On Friday, August 19, 2022 in Daloa, the Regional Customs Department of Man incinerated 25 to 30 million CFA francs worth of drugs and medicines inferior quality. It was in the presence of representatives of the administrative and judicial authorities.

Cigarettes, syrups and various contraband tablets were mostly confiscated in the Séguéla, Touba and Issia areas, to a lesser extent according to Information from Captain Boyeand Anicet Jean-Martial, head of the Drugs and Narcotics Subdivision at the Regional Customs Directorate in Man.

Indeed, traffickers have been questioned about the negative consequences that its prohibited products may have on humanitarian health and, on the other hand, on L& rsquo; economy of the country. Customs has thus received congratulations from the sub-prefect of Daloa for the reduction in the volume of seizures. According to Massouma Méïté, this testifies to the quality of the work carried out by its agents in charge of the fight against counterfeiting.
