Businessman Séraphin Yéto, who has been in prison for a year for a case involving 145 kg of cocaine, is now free to move around.

The managing director of Sonimex, Séraphin Yéto, was being sued along with 08 others in a case of drug trafficking and corruption. Deposited in prison on 25 June 2021, he is now free to move. He was released on Thursday 28 July after just over a year in prison.

The persons named in this case were arrested following the discovery, in a sugar container, of 150 platelets of cocaine, estimated to weigh just over 145 kg. The container in question is part of a batch of 20 containers purchased by businessman Séraphin Yéto. The containers coming from Brazil, with a detour via Spain, would initially belong to a French expatriate. The latter sold the containers to the owner of Sonimex. In the early hours of the business, he took over the keys to the fields. He was arrested several weeks later in Morocco.
