The Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA), announced at the beginning of the week a mobile application for the traceability of organic products.

The application will provide Togolese farmers with information on all the steps taken during cultivation and information on the location of farms through built-in geolocation features. It will also provide producers with information and guidance when faced with infections in their plants. They could therefore take a photo of an infected plant and share it on the platform. From there, explains the PIA, a support team will be in charge of analyzing the data, to give them recommendations. This device will assist farmers in their sales decision, in reducing production costs, in forecasting weather, etc. by providing them with all the essential information in real time.
