The Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Land Reform has launched a notice of call for expressions of interest for consulting services to make the diagnosis of each municipality. This is part of the implementation of the urban planning project in gestation for 6 municipalities.

Six communes of Togo, namely Zio 1 in the maritime region, Ogou 1 and Kloto 1 in the Plateaux, Tône 1 in the Savannahs, Kozah 1 in kara and Tchaoudjo 1 in the Centrale, will have a master plan for development and urbanization. This ambition, supported by the government, will be financed by part of the financing funds of the Infrastructure and Urban Development Project (PIDU), valued at $ 30 million or 16 billion FCFA.

These municipalities will have a document for the regulation and management of urban space organizing traffic and transport. This document will also allow municipalities to establish a time horizon over 20 years to carry out major strategic projects in accordance with the dynamics of metropolisation underway in the country. As a reminder, the PIDU aims to improve access to urban infrastructure and basic services in cities and strengthen their institutional capacity in urban planning and management.
