The new shareholder of the New Cotton Company of Togo (NSCT), Olam, has committed to produce 225,000 t of seed cotton by 2025. The country's 2020-2021 production was 66,000 tonnes. Olam International is committed to improving the performance of the new season. After the 43% drop in cotton production, at the end of the 2020-2021 campaign, the new shareholder of the NSCT has in this perspective, officially launched on Wednesday, June 9 in Tsévié, the 2021-2022 campaign with new objectives. "The campaign that is opening up must irrefutably reflect our desire to honour the commitment we have collectively made to the Head of State, that of producing 225,000 tons of seed cotton in 2025," said Martin Drevon, Deputy Director General in charge of operations at the NSCT.
