Find all the economic and financial information on our Orishas Direct application to download on Play StoreThe General Directorate of the Treasury and Public Accounting of Togo raised on September 6, 2019 on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (WAMU) an amount of 22 billion FCFA (33 million euros) following its auction of 5-year treasury bonds (OAT) organized in partnership with the UMOA-Titres Agency.
The total amount sought was 20 billion CFA francs (30 million euros). But at the end of the issue, the issuer was offered by investors 48.465 billion FCFA (72.698 million euros) of global bids, i.e. a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction by the bids of 242.33%.
With the exception of Guinea-Bissau and Mali, all WAEMU countries participated in the tendering operation. The three largest bid proposals are made by Cote d'Ivoire (18.147 billion), Senegal (10.252 billion) and Togo (8.500 billion).
The amount of bids retained by the issuer being 22 billion FCFA, the absorption rate is 45.39%.
The weighted average price is 9947 and a marginal price is 9902. As for the weighted average return, it stands at 6.62%.
Securities issued by the Togolese Treasury are redeemable on the first working day following the maturity date of 9 September 2024. As for the payment of interest, it will be made at an interest rate of 6.50% from the first year.
