Under the sheet relating to the Debt Service Suspension Initiative (ISSD) and its amendment approved by the G20, Togo's debt to the creditor countries of the Paris Club is suspended until 30 June 2021.The financial group indicates in a press release dated 11 February 2021 that it is a six-month extension of the suspension of debt repayment granted to Togo due to Covid-19.

The debt service suspension measure covered the period from May to December 2020.
According to the press release, this temporary suspension of the debt is conditioned by the commitment of the Togolese government to "devote the resources freed up by this initiative, to the increase of expenses dedicated to mitigating the health, economic and social impact of the Covid-19 crisis. It also undertook to request from all other bilateral official creditors, a treatment of the debt service in accordance with the agreed sheet and its amendment".
