Based in Lomé, Asky, the pan-African airline and Ethiopian Airlines, are planning to create d& #39; an aviation academy according to the Ecofin Agency, which quotes the director of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesay Shiferaw.

This aviation school, which is currently in its embryonic state, is supposed to be in charge of training pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers and flight attendants, among the most sought-after profiles in Africa. Little information is known about the configuration of the new center. However, the future structure could serve West Africa and be inspired by Ethiopian Airlines' current academy model, which has a capacity to host 4,000 students per year. If the project is successful, the future academy should further strengthen Lomé's position as an aviation relay on the continent and especially in the sub-region, through cooperation between Asky and Ethiopian Airlines (which is its main partner, with 40% of its capital).
