Since Tuesday, December 20, 2022, four legal professionals have been arrested for a case of attempted extortion from a woman who has a case in court. They are in custody at the Economic and Financial Brigade.

Judges Lié Norbert Dadjo, Francis Enagnon Bodjrenou, deputy public prosecutors at the Cotonou Court of First Instance (TPI); Guy Noukpo Honga, judge of the same Tribunal and Djèhouè Perpetu, judge serving at the Ministry of Justice, Legislation and Human Rights have been in custody at the Economic and Financial Brigade since Tuesday, December 20, 2022. They will probably be presented to the Special Prosecutor at the Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET).
